MAY THE LORD CAUSE HIS FACE TO SHINE UPON YOU!
Gwen and I have been greatly blessed and encouraged by the many letters we have received in recent weeks. It has been a very humbling experience to hear from those who tell us our messages have been a source of spiritual strength and edification. God knows our hearts, and I know we are not wanting to be flattered. But hearing from our readers helps us to know our labors are not in vain.
A very special thanks to everyone who has taken time to write. I can say with Paul, the apostle - your letters have refreshed us. God be praised.
We were startled by the numbers of letters giving testimony to the effectiveness of our ministry tapes. So many wrote saying, "Your video tapes have been such a blessing. We are not starting a house church; we use the tapes for family devotions." Husbands, children, fathers and relatives have been marvelously saved. Marriages have been restored. One dear woman wrote, "I felt you were wrong in saying your 'Home Gatherings offer' was a flop, because our family has been renewed. We just pass the tapes from family to family. For us it has been a great blessing."
I did not know all of this. How could I know, when people did not write and tell us? Now we know and rejoice. We are lowering the cost of all our video messages to make it easier for more people to order them. You may write my Texas office and get a list of available video messages preached from the Times Square Church pulpit.
On the financial side, God is meeting our needs. We have fully trusted him and he has never failed. It happens that the Holy Spirit quickens the saints to send help - and it's always on time. My biggest concern is not how to get money in to carry on the charitable works; rather, it is the responsibility to spend these gifts righteously, without any dishonest gain to me or my family. I bring this plea to God in prayer every day of my life: "O God, I do not want the spoil of the poor in my house" (see Isaiah 3:14). I am constantly examining my heart on this matter.
