Bible Study Questions

  1. What is David Wilkerson trying to emphasize when he compares what is happening to America today with the fall of the Great British Empire? What is the significant common factor between the fall of the British Empire, the destruction of Israel, and the present day scenario in America?

  2. What is the easiest thing to do when things start falling apart? What did the Prophet Hosea have to say about that, and what message is God giving the people of todays sole surviving superpower through the prophet Hosea and his people?

  3. The president is facing the impossible task of rebuilding our manufacturing base, creating thousands of jobs and restoring the economy. How far do you think he will succeed unless he starts taking constructive steps towards giving back the authority to the real leader of the American people?

  4. 'A nation under God' prospers, but once He is dethroned, what has been created collapses. How is this relevant today?

  5. There is a fine line (the respect and worship of the Living God) between great prosperity and total destruction. Explain this using God's own examples to analyze why "Like Israel in the days of Hosea the prophet, America is self-destructing."

  6. The first step towards inviting God's wrath and hence total destruction is the removal of truth, mercy, and, most importantly, THE KNOWLEDGE of God from society. Show the direct relationship between this step and the direction in which America is rapidly heading, using as reference the events in the tribe of Ephraim during Biblical times.

  7. Stepping back and looking at a few of the events mentioned in the sermon, is there a direct link between the removal of God from society and the rapid turning of young people today to what can only be termed as a step towards the total disintegration of all codes of a moral society? Why?

  8. "As they were increased, so they sinned against me; therefore will I change their glory into shame." Is it now America's turn? Explain this with details of the slow downfall of this country in all the major areas that were once a source of great pride.

  9. Every city boasts of the fastest growing church, but the very core of the church seems to be under siege today. How and why?
